Weather Spain - Thunderstorms & heavy rain for Catalonia and the Balearic Islands


On Sunday cool air flows from the North Atlantic towards Catalonia and the Balearic Islands. The cold air masses meet the warm air masses and the risk of severe weather increases accordingly.

In the current forecast (GFS model) there should be thunderstorms, heavy rain, flash floods, heavy gusts and floods. The storms could be particularly severe between Tarragona, Barcelona and Girona. On Sunday afternoon it will also hit the island of Mallorca.
