Storm Irene will bring rain and stormy conditions


Storm Irene is currently centered off the coast of Galicia and is moving further east across the Bay of Biscay. Spain is also affected accordingly and there will be local heavy rain and hurricane-force winds until Thursday.


It will probably be particularly rainy in the west of Andalusia. Here is our current ICON forecast from the last run at 8 a.m. 35 mm of rain is forecast for Huelva, 30 mm of rain for Seville, 25 mm of rain for Cadiz and 25 mm of rain for Cordoba.

Our two models ICON and GFS do not have much rain in the forecast for the Costa del Sol. Currently ICON only sees 5 mm of rain for Malaga and GFS sees 8 mm of rain.
