Weather Israel - Precipitation also brings plenty of fresh snow

A low pressure area is bringing our friends in Israel plenty of rain these days. The Mount Hermon ski area in the Golan Heights also benefits from this. The valley station is at 1,600 meters, the mountain station at 2,040 meters.

There are 14 ski slopes with a total length of 45 km. There is currently 160 cm of powder snow there. Unfortunately the ski station is closed due to the tense security situation.

The good news is that the snow then stabilizes the water supply in the spring. Israel is also constantly struggling with drought and that is why the current rainfall is a blessing for the country.
