Capturing and documenting extreme weather events live on-site

News from www.meteo365.es - We have purchased a new Randger 560 4x4 and modified this vehicle into a mobile OB van.

With this, we are now able to broadcast extreme weather events, forest fires, etc. in real-time. Yesterday, we tested the vehicle off-road around the Caminito del Rey. With the all-wheel drive, there seem to be almost no obstacles, and we were surprised how easily one can move 3.5 tons on unpaved paths. 

To the best of our knowledge, we are the first weather service in Europe to document natural forces in real-time with our own StormVan. In the US, storm chasers are iconic, and we have taken on the task of identifying, observing and tracking storms here in Europe. As a first step, we are focusing on Spain; in a second step, we plan to launch a whole fleet of StormVans across Europe.
