Weather Malaga - There won´t be very large amounts of rain

Low pressure area brings rain and snow
Rain forecast Thursday 3PM

There is a low pressure area off the coast of Portugal and Galicia, bringing rain, snow and stormy conditions to the Iberian Peninsula from Thursday. This weather situation will last until Sunday.

What does this mean for the autonomy of Andalusia?

The first rain clouds appear in Andalusia on Thursday morning in Huelva. The band of rain will then move on over Cádiz, Seville, Cordoba to Jaén, Granada and Málaga over the course of the day. There won´t be much rain in Almería anymore.

There is no good news for the Malaga region, which is particularly affected by the drought. Only 10 mm of rain is forecast for the provincial capital on Thursday. With a bit of luck there will be another 5mm of rain by Saturday. The Limonero reservoir only has a fill level of 19.21%.

Also in the Axarquía only 14 mm of rain will fall, which will not really help the La Viñuela reservoir. The La Viñuela reservoir is only at 7.9% full.

There is good news for the Andalusian Sierra Nevada. Up to 20 cm of fresh powder snow will fall here until Saturday.
