Malaga Airport breaks all records

Passenger numbers explode in 2024

It was already apparent in spring 2024 that 2024 could be the most successful year in Malaga Airport´s history. In numbers: In 2024, Malaga Airport registered 24,923,774 passengers, just missing the 25 million passenger mark. Compared to the old record year before Corona in 2019, this is an increase of 25.5%.

This puts Malaga Airport in 4th place among the busiest airports in Spain. Madrid is in 1st place, followed by Barcelona and Mallorca. Thanks to the Germans, Mallorca remains well ahead of Malaga with 33.3 million passengers.

Alicante Airport comes in 5th place with 18.4 million passengers, well behind Malaga. In 6th place is Gran Canaria, in 7th place is Tenerife South, in 8th place is Valencia, in 9th place is Seville and in 10th place is Ibiza.
