Hurricane Kirk could reach Europe as major storm

Hurricane Kirk is heading for the British Isles


Hurricane Kirk is currently raging in the middle of the Atlantic. With a core pressure of 935 hPa, Kirk is a category 4 hurricane.

The current forecast shows that Kirk will move northwest of the Azores in the direction of the British Isles in the next few days. Kirk is expected to arrive there as a storm (perhaps also as major storm) on Wednesday, October 9th. The storm´s further path will then take it over Denmark to Lapland.



The storm is bringing rain, life-threatening winds and significantly higher seas on the coasts to large parts of Europe.
