The Christmas lights have been on in Malaga since November 29th. We have already reported on this.
Yesterday, Wednesday, we were in the city center again and the closer Christmas comes, the better the Christmas spirit and anticipation of the big celebration becomes among the people.
Every evening, thousands from all over Andalusia and tourists from all over the world are drawn to Malaga. There is probably no other city in Europe that has such a light show with the most beautiful Christmas carols. Despite the politically tense situation, people are in a good mood and sing and dance, forgetting their everyday worries for a few hours.
The Christmas season can and should be a time of reflection and the weather is playing along too. It is Thursday, December 19th, 2024, 12:40 p.m. and our measuring station at Malaga airport reports a mild 21 °C. According to the forecast, it won't be as warm towards Christmas Eve as in recent years, when we had up to 25 °C, but on Christmas Eve we expect a maximum of 15 °C and no rain. On Christmas Day nothing will change and there will also be a maximum of 15 °C and no rain.
