Weather Japan - snow depths of over 4 meters

It is snowing incessantly in Japan these days. Incredible amounts of snow are being measured even in the lowlands.

Sukayu (890 meters above sea level) reports 407 cm of snow. Sumon (222 meters above sea level) reports 315 cm of snow and even further south Kuzuryu (436 meters above sea level) reports 231 cm of snow. Even in Yawata (774 meters above sea level) a snow depth of 151 cm is being measured.
