Malaga - Our office has power back after 15 hours

It's April 28, 2025, 12:33 p.m., and the power grid across Spain is collapsing. According to current information, Spain has overcapacity in renewable energy production, which likely led to the collapse. According to media reports, this was a situation that had been looming for days.

Our office in Malaga was also affected. No power, no internet, and no access to our servers. Almost all weather stations and weather webcams were offline, and not all of them are back up and running this morning. 15 hours without power is a disaster, as the cause cannot be attributed to force majeure, i.e., earthquakes, tornadoes, hail, etc. This is simply a political and ideological failure. Anyone who claims that a complete power outage is romantic hasn't heard the whole story. A 15-hour power outage represents billions in economic damage. Doctor's appointments had to be canceled, trains were interrupted, air travel was halted, etc.!

Spain isn't a productive industrial country anyway, and if you then push ahead with the deindustrialization of the few industrial sectors because of an ideologically blinded energy policy, then you shouldn't be surprised at the accelerated impoverishment.

Left-wing green socialism is not the solution, but the problem.
