Spain's weather - Thunderstorms, hail, heavy rain, and gusty winds

Severe weather threatens Catalonia on Saturday

On Saturday, cool air masses from the North Atlantic will collide with hot and humid air masses from the Balearic Sea.

This could lead to severe weather in the north and east of the peninsula. Catalonia could be particularly affected. Locally, thunderstorms, hail, heavy rain, gusty winds, and flooding are expected. Holiday regions could also be affected. In Lloret de Mar, for example, 22 mm of rain could fall in a short period of time.
