Spain has been experiencing a heatwave since August 3rd

Heatwave extends

Since August 3rd, there has been an official heatwave on the Spanish mainland. Galicia, in particular, is experiencing daytime highs of up to 43°C.

What was hinted at in the forecast is now becoming reality. The heatwave will now officially extend from Thursday to next Tuesday, August 12th. We expect daytime highs of 40°C to 42°C nationwide. A look at the 10-day trend forecast from GFS shows that temperatures could reach 45°C in Andalusia starting August 13th.
