Malaga weather - Feria begins with 41°C

Heatwave also reaches the Costa del Sol

The official heatwave in large parts of the country, which began on August 3rd, is expected to continue until Monday. On the 15th and 16th days of the heatwave, August 17th and 18th, our GFS forecast for the Costa del Sol #Malaga predicts daily highs of 41°C.

On August 16th, the Feria de Malaga opens, arguably the largest summer festival in the Mediterranean, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors. With these temperatures, cold drinks are sure to be in great demand.

Note: Yesterday, Wednesday, temperatures of 45.5°C were recorded in Badajoz (Extremadura), 45.2°C in Seville, and 45.1°C in El Granado (Huelva). Numerous stations reported temperatures ranging from 44°C to 44.8°C. There have been no new record values this summer.
