The current weather in Spain this weekend
The extreme August heat is over, and cooler air is steadily moving from the North Atlantic towards the Iberian Peninsula.
This Friday, Vigo will only have a maximum of 20°C, and a maximum of 22°C is forecast for the weekend. This weekend will also see the start of the large wave of holidaymakers returning from the south to Madrid. Temperatures in the Spanish capital will reach +- 30°C over the weekend. Today's warmest temperatures will likely be in Valencia, with a maximum of 36°C. Seville and Córdoba will only reach 33°C. On Saturday, we have 36°C forecast in Seville and Murcia. On Sunday, temperatures on the Spanish mainland will probably reach 35°C only in isolated cases in Andalusia.From Sunday afternoon, we expect some heavy thunderstorms in northeastern Spain.
