Costa del Sol

Costa del Sol Weather - Are autumn storms on the horizon?

Will late summer continue?

The past two days have seen severe rain and thunderstorms in the east of the Spanish peninsula and the Balearic Islands. Not unusual for this time of year, when cold air from the Atlantic meets warm and humid air on the Balearic Sea.

We've already reached meteorological autumn, and the south of the peninsula has also experienced thunderstorms and rain in September. Therefore, here's a trend forecast for the next 10 days for the Costa del Sol (Malaga province), which is a tourist magnet, especially during these weeks of the year. According to our GFS trend forecast, we'll reach daily highs of 28°C to 33°C in Malaga city, and there's no rain in sight. As a reference, let's look at Marbella in the west of the Costa del Sol. It will also remain warm, like late summer, with daily highs of 26°C to 30°C, and there's no rain forecast here either. In the east of the Costa del Sol, we're looking at Nerja, where daily highs range from 26°C to 29°C, and no rain is in sight.

The Caminito del Rey is also very popular this time of year. There, we're expecting daily highs of 27°C to 35°C, and there's no rain forecast for the most spectacular hiking trail on the Costa del Sol.
