Sunday morning begins on the Costa del Sol (Malaga province) with thick fog. This type of fog is called taró here.
This type of fog usually forms in the summer, in the months of June and August. The water coming from the Atlantic is cold but evaporates very easily. The fog occurs on hot days and almost always with easterly winds.
Taró is very persistent and, unlike coastal fog, doesn't necessarily clear around midday.
