Spain Weather - Cool air from the North Atlantic reaches the peninsula
The astronomical start of autumn 2025 is on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 8:19 p.m. Central European Time. Cold air will flow from the North Atlantic to the Iberian Peninsula as early as Sunday. In Bilbao, Pamplona, A Coruña, and Gijon daily highs will no longer reach 20°C.
On Monday, the cold air will move further south and in Madrid we forecast a daily high of only 21°C. In Andalusia, the thermometer will also no longer rise above 30°C. In Malaga, there will be Terral on Monday and the warm wind will bring a daily high of 30°C.When cold air meets warm and humid air, local thunderstorms can be expected during this time of year.
