Costa del Sol weather - Change in weather with easterly winds starting Monday
October on the Costa del Sol (Malaga province) means glorious late summer weather. This weekend, we have a forecast for daytime highs of 30°C for Malaga city.
We expect 28°C in Torremolinos, 28°C in Benalmadena, 30°C in Fuengirola, 27°C in Mijas, 26°C in Marbella and 26°C in Nerja.Starting Monday morning, the weather will change with easterly winds (Levante) taking over. It will be windy in Nerja with gusts of 30 km/h and waves up to 1.6 meters high. Daytime highs will then be only 23°C to 24°C. In Malaga city, we have gusts of 40 km/h in the forecast and the daytime high will be 24°C. It's also going to be windy in Marbella with gusts of 41 km/h and a maximum temperature of 24°C.
The wind will ease again on Wednesday, but temperatures won't reach 30°C. Our forecast predicts an easterly wind will return next Friday, even bringing some rain.
