Sierra Nevada Weather - The first snow is already visible

What a sunrise this morning in the Sierra Nevada. For the second time in recent days, the high mountains are covered in a thin layer of snow, with a low of -0.8°C. However, the weather will be much warmer next week and at 3,000 m we expect temperatures of up to 9°C.

This year, the lift operators of the Sierra Nevada are planning to open the 2025/26 ski season on November 29, 2025, the Saturday before the first Sunday of Advent. This is assuming the weather conditions are favorable and it is at least cold enough for the snow cannons. The season is scheduled to run until April 26, 2026, which is very ambitious, as the Andalusian spring already brings very warm days at this time of year.

So, if you want to experience up to 100 kilometers of magical slopes, you should definitely head to the Sierra Nevada. Especially when there's fresh powder snow, the ski area is an unforgettable experience for all skiers.
