Storm Benjamin hits northern Spain

Storm Benjamin is becoming increasingly strong throughout the day, causing gusty winds in northern Spain as well.

A red warning is in effect for the coastal areas of Santander, Bilbao, and San Sebastian on Thursday. Waves will reach heights of up to 8 meters. Squalls and rain are also forecast.

It will remain hot in the southern half of the country, with temperatures rising to over 30°C.
