Seville Airport reports 98.5 mm of rain; flight operations were temporarily suspended, and flights were diverted to Malaga. Rain is also falling in the province of Malaga, with Fuengirola reporting 34 mm of rain in just one hour. Ojen (Marbella) has recorded 41 mm of rain. The situation is particularly severe in the Sierra Nevada, where hurricane-force gusts of 141 km/h have been recorded.
