We are a politically independent company, so we can comment on the facts neutrally.
1. Yes, we are living in a period of global warming.
2. However, from our perspective, there is no climate emergency.
The current graph from Aemet shows that Spain has always experienced periods with less rainfall, but also periods with heavy rainfall. If there has been water scarcity in recent years due to less rainfall, then factors such as 100 million tourists per year, Spain being the largest producer of fruit and vegetables in the EU, a lack of wastewater treatment plants for recycling, and the rapidly growing population must be taken into account.
PS: In our view, the reasons for this period of global warming are not clearly understood. Is it simply a normal process in the long history of this Earth? Who is participating in the hysteria surrounding a supposed climate emergency?
As this graphic shows, there are years with a lot of rain and years with less rain; these are the official facts.
Conclusion: We therefore prefer to focus on daily weather events.
