High pressure takes control

Sunday morning, February 15, 2025. The photo shows a view from Malaga of the snow-covered peak of La Maroma (2066m).

In the coming days, a high-pressure system will take control, bringing in warm air and causing the snow to melt quickly. We forecast 23°C for Malaga on Tuesday. Our 10-day GFS weather trend forecast shows no rain in sight for Malaga.

The good news is that there is currently no forecast for rain in the Grazalema and Serranía de Ronda areas either. Landslide damage to the roads is considerable, as shown in the graphic. Repairs will likely take two to three months. Statistically, we are not yet over the severe weather, as March often brings significant rainfall.
