In northern and central regions, maximum temperatures range mostly between 10°C and 14°C. León and Burgos only reach 10°C, Pamplona 11°C, and Madrid around 14°C. In the northwest, Lugo records 11°C, while A Coruña and Gijón reach 14°C.
Milder conditions are found along the Mediterranean coast: Valencia climbs to 20°C, Murcia to 21°C, and Benidorm to 17°C. In Andalusia, highs range between 16°C and 19°C, with 19°C in Huelva and 18°C in Seville.
At higher elevations in the Pyrenees, winter conditions persist, with around 1°C in Baqueira.
Saturday Brings Widespread Warming
By Saturday, 21 February 2026, temperatures rise significantly across most regions of Spain.
Northern cities see highs between 14°C and 17°C, including 17°C in Bilbao and 15°C in Pamplona. Central Spain also becomes milder, with Madrid and Toledo both reaching 17°C.
Andalusia benefits from warmer air masses: Seville and Huelva climb to 21°C, Córdoba reaches 20°C. Murcia rises to 20°C, while Valencia records 18°C.
The Pyrenees remain cooler, with around 9°C in Baqueira.
Spring-Like Temperatures on Sunday – Southern Spain Above 20°C
On Sunday, 22 February 2026, spring-like weather establishes itself across large parts of Spain.
Southern and southwestern regions exceed the 20°C mark:
Huelva 22°C, Seville 22°C, Córdoba 21°C.
Southeastern Spain also turns very mild: Murcia reaches 23°C, Valencia 19°C, Benidorm 18°C.
Central Spain sees highs between 18°C and 19°C, including 18°C in Madrid and 19°C in Toledo.
Northern regions remain slightly cooler but still milder than on Friday, with 16°C in Bilbao and 17°C in Pamplona.
Overall, a clear warming trend is evident from Friday to Sunday, culminating in increasingly stable and spring-like conditions, especially in the south and southeast of the country.
