Pentecost brings hot weather

The first major heat of the year is spreading across Europe just in time for Pentecost.

Hot air masses are flowing from Spain toward Central and Northern Europe. The Pentecost weekend will bring hot days; in Germany, we expect daytime highs of 32°C (90°F), and even in England, temperatures could reach 30°C (86°F). Our trend forecast predicts highs of up to 30°C (86°F) on Monday and Tuesday in Sweden and southern Norway as well.

Saharan dust will also be transported to Europe along with the hot air masses. On Saturday, thick clouds of Saharan dust will be present in England, extending as far as southern Scandinavia.
