Spain is set for a predominantly summer-like and increasingly hot week, with the highest temperatures affecting the south, southwest, and parts of the central regions. The hottest areas will be Andalusia, Extremadura, and the Guadalquivir Valley, where maximum temperatures will frequently reach 35°C to 38°C.
Monday to Wednesday Hot conditions will dominate southern and southwestern Spain. Temperatures are expected to peak at 36–38°C in Córdoba, around 35–36°C in Seville, and up to 35°C in Badajoz. Across central Spain, cities such as Madrid and Toledo will see highs between 29°C and 34°C.
In contrast, northern Spain will remain significantly cooler. Galicia, Cantabria, and the Basque Country will generally experience temperatures between 17°C and 23°C, while the Pyrenees will stay even cooler.
Thursday Temperatures will rise further across western Spain. Highs of around 37°C are expected in Badajoz, while Palencia may reach 35°C. The northwest will also warm noticeably, with Vigo climbing to around 27°C.
Friday The heat will expand northward, bringing much warmer conditions to Galicia and other northern regions. Temperatures are forecast to reach 30°C to 34°C across much of Galicia. Meanwhile, the south will remain very hot, with 38°C possible in Córdoba and Badajoz, around 37°C in Seville, and up to 35°C in Granada.
Mediterranean Coast and Balearic Islands The Mediterranean coastline will remain somewhat milder throughout the week, with maximum temperatures generally ranging from 24°C to 31°C. The Balearic Islands can expect highs between 24°C and 27°C.
Outlook Overall, Spain will experience a hot and mostly stable weather pattern this week. The most intense heat will persist across the south and southwest, while temperatures gradually increase across northern and northwestern regions by the end of the week. No major cold outbreaks are expected, and summer conditions will continue to strengthen nationwide.
