13–14 June 2026

Spain is set to experience a predominantly hot and dry weekend, with temperatures widely exceeding 30°C across much of the country. The hottest conditions are expected in the western and central interior, while coastal areas will remain somewhat cooler thanks to marine influences. Apart from a few isolated showers on Sunday, rainfall will be scarce nationwide.

Elsewhere, gusts will generally remain between 20 and 45 km/h, creating breezy but manageable conditions.

Dry Weather Dominates

Notable gusts include:

Zamora: 55 km/h
Madrid: 51 km/h
Tarifa: 49 km/h
Albacete: 41 km/h

Scattered Showers in the North and West

While the weekend remains largely dry, Sunday will bring a modest increase in instability.

Light to locally moderate showers are forecast for:

Galicia Western Castilla y León
Parts of Extremadura
Mountain areas of northern Spain
Isolated inland sectors of eastern Spain

Accumulations will generally remain low, mostly between 1 and 5 mm, although locally higher totals around the Pyrenees are possible. The heaviest precipitation signal appears near the central Pyrenees, where around 3 mm may fall.

Weekend Summary

Spain will experience a classic early-summer weekend characterized by high temperatures, abundant sunshine and limited rainfall. The hottest conditions are expected across the western and central interior, where temperatures will frequently exceed 35°C. Coastal areas will remain more comfortable, particularly along the Atlantic and Mediterranean shores.

The only notable weather hazards will be:

Strong easterly winds around the Strait of Gibraltar on Saturday
Localized gusty winds inland on Sunday
A few scattered showers in northern and western regions late in the weekend

For most holidaymakers and outdoor enthusiasts, the weekend promises excellent conditions, with sunshine dominating across the vast majority of Spain.
