Another heat wave is spreading in Spain. On Monday, the Andalusian provinces of Cordoba and Jaen are on red alert, the thermometer rises to up to 46 °C.
The heat wave also extends to the Costa del Sol. On Monday it will be 34 °C in Malaga, on Tuesday 37 °C and then on Wednesday 40 °C. Then on Thursday "only" 33 °C, on the weekend then around 36 °C again.
Marbella is doing a little better, with the maximum on Wednesday probably being 36 °C. It also gets really hot in the east of the Costa del Sol, even in Nerja the thermometer climbs to 36 °C.
The Malaga buoy reported a water temperature of 25.1 °C at 1 p.m. today. Pretty warm at this time of year.
Incidentally, the risk of forest fires is again a serious issue and the highest warning level applies.
