Over 85 million tourists visited Spain in 2023

As the Spanish statistics office INE reports, Spain will set a new record in the tourism sector for 2023. In total, 85,056,528 foreign tourists visited Spain. This makes it clear that war and inflation do not stop people from vacationing.



Most foreign tourists come from the UK. A total of 17,328,629 British tourists were counted. The French follow in second place with 11,812,623 tourists. The Germans are in third place with 10,801,229 tourists.



Catalonia has the most tourists, getting 21.2% of the cake. The Balearic Islands follow in second place with 16.9%, the Canary Islands in third place with 16.4%, Andalusia in fourth place with 14.3% and Valencia in fifth place with 12.3%.
