In December 2025, Malaga Airport recorded 1,681,268 passengers, an increase of 6.8% compared to December 2024. This placed Malaga third among the busiest airports in Spain in December, even ahead of Gran Canaria.

This is remarkable, as the winter season typically takes place in the Canary Islands. Madrid and Barcelona airports ranked first and second.

Historic Record

For the entire year of 2025, Malaga Airport registered 26,760,549 passengers, setting a new historic record. Compared to 2024, passenger numbers increased by 7.4%.

In 2025, Malaga ranked fourth, behind Mallorca, Barcelona, and Madrid. Alicante ranks fifth with 19,950,394 passengers.
