Summer is dreaded in the Andalusian hinterland and with daytime temperatures of 40 °C it is much too hot for many. City trips to Seville, Cordoba or Granada often become a battle against the heat.
The perfect temperatures for enjoying the sights are in spring and autumn.
In addition to flamenco and tapas, Seville has numerous sights, three of which are even UNESCO World Heritage sites: Seville Cathedral, Alcázar and Archivo General de Indias. In the coming days, the thermometer in Seville will show daily highs of 26 °C, so it doesn't get any better than that.
Cordoba is of course also worth a trip. The Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba and the Puente Romano form the heart of the center of Cordoba. The Puente Romana bridge alone is unbeatable in terms of history. The Romans built the bridge over the Guadalquivir river in 45 BC. In Cordoba we have highs of up to 27 °C forecast for the coming days.
Of course, a visit to Granada is a must. Granada lies at the foot of the Sierra Nevada and one of the most visited tourist attractions in Europe is the Alhambra. The Alhambra is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Granada we expect highs of up to 23 °C.
