45.1 °C in Seville: just three days into meteorological autumn, extreme heat is once again scorching large parts of Andalusia and Extremadura.
Thursday's measurements show the full extent of it: Seville-Tablada registered 45.1 °C, while Morón Air Base recorded 45.0 °C. Fuentes de Andalucía (44.5 °C), Andújar (44.3 °C) and Montoro (44.2 °C) all reported values well above 44 degrees. Aroche and Almonte both climbed to 43.2 °C, Badajoz reached 43.1 °C, and Olvera hit 42.6 °C.
Even Granada Airport, usually a little cooler thanks to its altitude, still measured 41.4 °C. There is no sign of autumn yet across large parts of Andalusia and Extremadura – this extreme heat spell is proving stubborn.
