Weather Valencia - up to 700 l/m² in Turís
On October 29, a Cold Drop (spanish: DANA) caused extreme weather in parts of Spain, which led to a catastrophe, especially in the region around Valencia Capital. Currently, Saturday morning 10:00 a.m., 207 fatalities have been reported.

In the municipality of Turís (Valencia), it is clear how brutal this severe weather was. According to the official weather station of Aemet, the following amounts of rain were measured there on October 29, 2024. Accumulated precipitation 618 l/m². Since the measuring station was unable to record any data between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., Aemet calculated an additional 80 l/m², giving a total of 700 l/m². Now another incredible number: the maximum rainfall per hour was 179.4 l/m², the maximum rainfall in 10 minutes was an incredible 42 l/m². The 179.4 l/m² is an absolute historical record. Even higher than the 159.2 l/m² rainfall per hour measured in Vinaròs on October 19, 2018.
