Malaga Airport continues to boom in September
In September 2025, Malaga Airport set another historic record for passenger numbers. With 2.626.561 passengers, the figure increased by 5% compared to September 2024.

From January to September 2025, Malaga Airport reported 20.750.257 passengers, an increase of 7.5% compared to the same period in 2024. This places Malaga in fourth place among the busiest airports in Spain, behind Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and Madrid.
Palma de Mallorca remained in third place in September 2025, thanks to the strong summer months, with 4.113.337 passengers, an increase of 0.9%. From January to September, Palma de Mallorca Airport handled 27.991.121 passengers, an increase of 1.7% compared to 2024.
In September 2025, Alicante Airport ranked fifth with 1.907.274 passengers (+5.9%), followed by Ibiza Airport in sixth place with 1.227.406 passengers (+0.6%), and Gran Canaria in seventh place with 1.186.060 passengers (+6.2%).
