Sea fog over the Balcón de Europa in Nerja
In this timelapse from our live webcam, an advection fog drifts over the sea — at 25 °C, 82 % humidity and calm winds, the perfect recipe.
A delicate sea fog drifting slowly over the water off Nerja, captured by our live webcam at the Balcón de Europa. In timelapse, the fog looks almost alive.
And it is no coincidence. At the time of the recording, our own weather station right at the Balcón measured 25 °C, 82 % humidity and almost calm conditions.
That is exactly the recipe for advection fog: warm, moist air over a slightly cooler sea, with no wind to break it up. The result is this low veil hovering over the waves.
