Mistral brings waves of up to 7 meters
The Mistral (wind) regularly creates stormy conditions in the Golfe du Lion. The winds often reach as far as Menorca, Corsica, Sardinia and even Tunisia.

Starting this evening, a particularly strong Mistral will build up, bringing hurricane gusts (12 Beaufort) with it from Wednesday afternoon to Saturday. The waves reach a height of up to 7 meters.
The Balearic island of Menorca will also be hit hard, with heavy gusts of wind (10 Bft) and waves of 3 meters expected. Sardinia will be hit particularly hard on Friday night. Hurricane gusts of 140 km/h are forecast there.
