Costa del Sol remains very popular with tourists in March

Malaga Airport is the gateway to Andalusia for tourists from all over the world. This is particularly remarkable considering we are still talking about the winter flight schedule.

Malaga Airport sees another increase in passenger numbers
In the first three months of 2026, the airport registered 5,092,675 passengers, an increase of 6.3% compared to the same period in 2025.

Malaga ranks third among the busiest airports in Spain, behind Madrid and Barcelona.

The March figures are also noteworthy because Alicante Airport moved into fourth place and Palma de Mallorca Airport into fifth, pushing Gran Canaria Airport down to sixth.
