Spain Weather - First desert days and tropical nights are on the way
The autumn-winter-spring season brought Spain an unusually high number of low-pressure systems with ample rainfall.

Right on cue for the second half of May, the weather pattern is changing, bringing Spain its first desert days with daytime highs above 35°C and tropical nights with temperatures above 20°C.
Starting Wednesday, Andalusia and Extremadura will experience daytime highs of 35°C. From Thursday onward, Andalusia and Extremadura will see daytime highs of 38°C, and locally, temperatures may even reach 40°C. The heat will also lead to tropical nights in the provinces of Seville and Cordoba, with temperatures not dropping below 20°C.
According to our GFS trend forecast, the heat will then spread to the eastern half of the country starting next weekend.
