In Spain, temperatures could exceed 40°C
The Pentecost weekend brought astonishing daily highs of over 30°C to Central and Northern Europe.

We'll remember, it's still spring. The last week of May will be even hotter; in the London area, we expect temperatures of up to 35°C on Tuesday. (Note: The all-time May temperature record currently stands at 32.8°C (Camden Square, May 22, 1922; and then Horsham, Tunbridge Wells, and Regent’s Park on May 29, 1944).
Spain:
This morning at 6:30 a.m., San Sebastian Airport reported 28°C, and Bilbao Airport 26°C. It's simply incredible. And the heatwave continues in Spain, with temperatures potentially breaking the 40°C mark for the first time this year this week. By next Friday at the latest, Cordoba in Andalusia could reach 40°C, and the chances are also good that the thermometer will hit 40°C in the Lleida and Zaragoza regions of northeastern Spain.
Since the seawater is still relatively cold (21°C) at this time of year, it is still very pleasant in the tourist hotspots between Malaga, Benidorm, the Balearic Islands and Barcelona.
