The live weather webcam looks down from the Balcón de Europa onto Playa El Salón – a small cove framed by rocks in the middle of Nerja. The water glows here in a clear turquoise that shades into deep blue further out; along the shore, colourful sun umbrellas, loungers and straw parasols stand side by side. On the left rises the pale limestone cliff, above which stand the white houses, palms and pines of the old town. Playa El Salón lies directly west below the Balcón de Europa and can only be reached via a narrow lane and a flight of steps.
