The live weather webcam hangs at Puerto Marina in Benalmádena and looks out over Playa de la Fuente de la Salud – onto the wide sandy beach with its dense rows of sun umbrellas, the gently shelving, calm water and the bathers standing far out in the sea. To the right the coast runs on towards La Carihuela (Torremolinos); to the left the hills behind Benalmádena frame the picture. In the foreground lie the rocks of the harbour mole, a favourite spot for surfers. The beach right next to Puerto Marina is one of the busiest in Benalmádena Costa: pedal boats, stand-up paddlers and banana boats are out all summer long, and chiringuitos and beach bars line the promenade in between. Because the bay is sheltered, the water is usually calm – though when the wind blows onshore, watersports enthusiasts get their money's worth too.
