About this webcam

The live weather webcam looks out over Playa de la Malvarrosa, the best-known city beach of Valencia. In the foreground palms line the Paseo Marítimo, behind it the unusually wide, pale sand stretches to the water's edge – room enough for volleyball courts, strollers and the rows of parasols down by the sea. Out beyond, the Mediterranean draws its lines of surf, and on the horizon boats pass by. The Malvarrosa is one of the most famous city beaches in Spain: a good kilometre long and in places over a hundred metres wide, merging into Playa de las Arenas to the south. Behind the promenade lies El Cabanyal, the old fishing quarter with its brightly tiled façades; along the Paseo restaurant follows restaurant – after all, Valencia is regarded as the home of paella. Through the camera you can see how busy the beach is, how the surf is running and what the weather is like over Valencia. We also show the hourly forecast, the wave forecast and the tides for the city, along with current weather warnings – handy when you're planning a beach day or a walk by the water.
