The live webcam looks down directly onto Playa Voramar. Straw parasols stand in orderly rows across the pale sand, with bathers wading and swimming in the shallow water in front. To one side, catamarans rest on the beach and a groyne of rock blocks divides the surf – while on the horizon the installations of the port of Castellón come into view. Playa Voramar is one of the town beaches of Benicàssim and shares its name with the long-established hotel that stands right on the sand. The beach shelves gently and is sheltered by several groynes, which usually keeps the water calm – good for families. From the sand, the promenade runs past the old summer villas into the town. Through the camera you can see at a glance how busy the beach is, how the surf is running and what the weather on the Costa del Azahar is doing.
