The live weather webcam above the Port of Málaga takes in a wide sweep of coast: in the foreground the Playa La Malagueta with its palm-lined promenade, behind it the long jetty of the Muelle de Levante, the Muelle 9 industrial harbour with its cranes and, front right, the La Farola lighthouse – the emblem of the port. Here the working harbour meets Mediterranean city life: the big cruise ships berth at the Muelle de Levante, cargo vessels head for the industrial docks, and right in front the sandy Playa La Malagueta fills with bathers and strollers. La Farola has been part of Málaga since the 18th century and is one of the few lighthouses with a female name. When an ocean giant sails in or out, the whole spectacle unfolds right in front of the camera. Through the camera you can see which ships are in port, how busy the beach is and how the sea is running.
